Israel Vibration, a band founded by Lacelle “Wiss” Bulgin, Cecil “Skelly” Spence, and Albert “Apple Gabriel” Craig, was born when the three men met at Kingston’s Mona Rehabilitation Clinic after falling victim to polio in Jamaica in the 1950s. Adhering to the Rastafarian faith, they created this harmonic trio that has become a reggae staple.
With nearly 50 years of career, Israel Vibration, now led by Wiss, is preparing to release a new album, Reggae Music Never Dies, in 2025. Produced by Aston Barrett Jr., the son of the legendary Aston “Familyman” Barrett of the Wailers, this album includes the final recordings of Skelly, who passed away in 2022, paying tribute to the iconic roots sound.
A world tour with the Roots Radics will kick off in March 2025, including prestigious dates at Lolapalooza (Chile), República do Reggae (Brazil), and various other countries. Israel Vibration remains a global benchmark for reggae, embodying the history and soul of this music through poignant, timeless performances.”
