Twan Tee grew up immersed in various musical worlds, including Jamaican culture, hip-hop, and bass music. By the age of 20, he had developed his style and began his first vocal recordings while cutting his teeth in different sound systems. He would collaborate numerous times with the Roots Attack collective, known for their powerful and authentic reggae, with whom he later released his EP Presenting Twan Tee.
In 2013, he moved to Bordeaux, where he became active in the sound system scene. He first worked with dub activists from Tours, collaborating on tracks such as Mr. Gunman (2017, Brigante Records) with Higher Light and Dem a Talk (2020) with ODG. He soon made his mark at renowned festivals like Rototom Sunsplash (ES), No Logo (FR), and Reggae Sun Ska (FR).
Twan Tee released his debut album CROSSING in 2021 under Baco Records. This new project, created and developed with talented riddim maker Oddy, blends influences of reggae, dub, and digital with elements of trap. Singles like Come to Me and Live Free helped introduce his audience to the diverse aesthetics offered by this duo. He then toured, opening for Danakil and performing at iconic venues such as the Olympia.
In April 2022, Twan Tee was named “Revelation of the Year” by Reggae.fr and its 11,000 voters. He continued performing at festivals such as Reggae Sun Ska and No Logo BZH. A year later, he released his second album INNERGY, further blending styles and presenting a fusion of reggae and trap.
